Caroone House

Caroone House was an office building located at 14 Farringdon Street in London, constructed in 1972 on the historic site of the Congregational Memorial Hall, which itself was built on the remnants of the old Fleet Prison. The building served as the headquarters for Post Office Telecommunications, later British Telecom, managing international telephone operations. Notably, a plaque commemorating the founding of the Labour Party in 1900 was displayed at its entrance. After being sold in 2001, Caroone House was demolished in 2004, making way for the Ludgate West development, which now stands on the site, preserving the Labour Party plaque as a nod to the area's rich history.
