Piazza Center

The Piazza Center, located in the heart of Eindhoven, Netherlands, is a vibrant indoor shopping destination that features the upscale De Bijenkorf department store and a Decathlon sporting goods superstore. Originally an open-air square opened in 1969, it served as a recreational area and youth hangout, hosting various cultural gatherings and activities. However, due to its chaotic appearance and operational challenges, it underwent a significant renovation led by architect Massimiliano Fuksas, reopening in 2015 as a modern covered square. The renovation included the relocation of art installations and the addition of a striking entrance gate, enhancing the shopping experience and connectivity to nearby attractions.
