Newmarket Hotel

The Newmarket Hotel, a heritage-listed former pub in Hamilton Hill, Western Australia, was built in 1912 and served as a local gathering spot until the late 1990s. Known for its role in cycling events and connections to the horse racing industry, it also gained fame as a filming location for the cult film 'Black Neon' in 1991. After 18 years of vacancy, the building was renovated and reopened in 2017 as Hamilton House, a dance studio for the Swan River Ballet school, making it a unique blend of history and contemporary culture.
