McNay Art Museum galleries

The McNay Art Museum opened to the public in 1954 and is recognized as the first museum in Texas dedicated to modern art. Its campus combines a Spanish Colonial Revival mansion with modern additions that house permanent and rotating gallery exhibitions of modern and contemporary paintings, sculpture, and other media. The museum regularly programs temporary exhibitions, educational tours, and gallery-based public programs.
