Armando Galarraga's near-perfect game at Comerica Park

On June 2, 2010, Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga retired the first 26 batters at Comerica Park and appeared to complete a perfect game on the 27th batter. A blown call at first base by umpire Jim Joyce ruled the batter safe on what replays showed was an out; Joyce later admitted the call was incorrect. The game remains a noted moment in Detroit baseball history because of the missed call and Joyce's subsequent public apology.
