Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge - large city-owned natural area

The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is a city-owned nature preserve of more than 3,000 acres northwest of downtown Fort Worth. The refuge contains prairie, forest, and river bottomland habitats and maintains trails, boardwalks, and an education center. It is considered one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the United States and is a long-standing outdoor recreation spot for Fort Worth residents.
