Richard Hayes House

The Richard Hayes House, located at 326 Gonic Road in Rochester, New Hampshire, is a historic Federal period house built in 1787. This well-preserved structure features an L-shaped design with two public facades and a unique half-hipped roof. It stands as a rare example of vernacular architecture from its era and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Originally built by Richard Hayes on land granted by his father, the house remained in the Hayes family until 1881, making it a significant piece of local history for tourists and researchers alike.
