Boonecroft

Boonecroft is a historic homestead located in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, recognized for its significance as the ancestral home of the Boone family, including the famous frontiersman Daniel Boone. The site features the remains of a log cabin built in 1720 by Quaker settler George Boone III, alongside a Colonial English-style stone farmhouse constructed in 1733. Visitors can explore the property's historical structures, including a guesthouse, smokehouse, and barn, all set in a picturesque landscape. Boonecroft was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a notable destination for history enthusiasts and tourists alike.
