Venezuelan Pavilion Expo 2000

The Venezuelan Pavilion, designed by architect Fruto Vivas for Expo 2000 in Hannover, is a stunning 3-story structure resembling a flower, symbolizing Venezuela's rich ecology. With a roof of 16 movable petals inspired by the national orchid, the pavilion showcases thousands of tropical plants and emphasizes sustainability through its recyclable materials and energy-efficient design. After the expo, it was relocated to Barquisimeto, where it opened to the public in 2008 and was declared a national monument.
