Wanamaker Organ in the Grand Court

The Wanamaker Organ, located in the former Wanamaker Department Store building now Macy's Center City, is one of the largest functioning pipe organs in the world and was expanded throughout the 20th century. The instrument occupies chambers surrounding the store's Grand Court and is used for regular recitals and the store's holiday light show. Much of the organ's machinery and pipework is concealed behind ornate architecture and is not visible from the street, creating a hidden musical spectacle within a commercial building.
