Sophia Gardens Pavilion

Sophia Gardens Pavilion was a notable performance venue in Cardiff, Wales, built in 1951 for the Festival of Britain. Originally constructed from a repurposed aircraft hangar, it hosted various concerts and significant events, including boxing and wrestling during the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. The pavilion welcomed famous artists like Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. Unfortunately, it suffered a roof collapse in 1982 due to heavy snowfall and was later demolished, just after plans for renovations were approved.
