Sampaio Moreira Building

The Sampaio Moreira Building, inaugurated in 1924, is a historic skyscraper located in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil. Standing at 50 meters tall with twelve floors, it was the tallest building in the city until 1929 and is recognized as a pioneering example of reinforced concrete architecture in Brazil. Designed by architects Christiano Stockler and Samuel das Neves, the building features an eclectic style with Louis XVI decorations and has been preserved as a significant cultural heritage site. After undergoing extensive restoration, it reopened in 2018 as the headquarters for the Municipal Culture Department, offering an auditorium, a rooftop restaurant with stunning views, and a memorial dedicated to its original architect.
