Feuchtwanger Stable

Feuchtwanger Stable, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is a historic building constructed in 1888, showcasing the Romanesque Revival architectural style. This three-story brick structure features distinctive stone and terra cotta trim, with its first floor characterized by three wide, round arches that originally served as horse entrances. Over the years, the stable has been repurposed for various uses, including a candy factory, storage warehouse, and auto repair garage, before being transformed into loft condominiums in 1988. It was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in Brooklyn's architectural and industrial history.
