Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden

Originally established in the early 19th century through the bequest of Robert Richard Randall as Sailors' Snug Harbor, the site served as a retirement home for aged mariners. The campus includes a complex of 19th-century Greek Revival and Italianate buildings that reflect its institutional maritime origins. Today it operates as Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, a cultural and horticultural campus that preserves and interprets the historic architecture and landscaped grounds.
