I See What You Mean ("Big Blue Bear")

I See What You Mean, commonly called the Big Blue Bear, is a 40-foot-tall public sculpture by artist Lawrence Argent installed in 2005 outside the Colorado Convention Center. The painted blue bear peers into the convention center through its glass facade and is frequently photographed from street level, making it one of Denver's most recognizable pieces of public art. The work was commissioned for the convention center and has since become an iconic visual landmark along 14th Street.
