Stardust Resort and Casino (imploded 2007)

The Stardust Resort and Casino operated on the Las Vegas Strip from 1958 until it closed in 2006 and was imploded in 2007; the site later became the parcel for the Resorts World Las Vegas development. The Stardust was known for its large neon signage, expansive casino floor, and long-running presence as one of the Strip's signature mid-century resorts. Its demolition is often cited as part of the final wave of implosions that removed classic Strip properties in favor of contemporary megaresorts.
