Kaneohe Ranch Building

The Kaneohe Ranch Building, constructed in 1940 at Castle Junction on Oʻahu, serves as a historical landmark and showcases distinctive Hawaiian architectural style designed by Albert Ely Ives. This building, which was the headquarters of Kaneohe Ranch, is notable for its double-pitched Dickey roof, overhanging eaves, and cross-ventilation features. The ranch itself has a rich history, originally part of land owned by Queen Kalama in the mid-19th century, and has evolved from sugarcane plantations to cattle ranching. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Hawaiian history and architecture.
