Pinella

Pinella was a historic restaurant located in Porthaninpuisto park, Turku, Finland, adjacent to the Turku Cathedral. Established in 1848 by Nils Henrik Pinello, it became a cultural hub for artists and intellectuals, hosting notable figures like Elias Lönnrot and J. L. Runeberg. Over the years, it faced challenges such as prohibition but adapted by serving as an alcohol store. The restaurant underwent several renovations, including the introduction of Finland's first street-side terrace in 1973. Despite its rich history and renovations, Pinella closed its doors on September 25, 2021, marking the end of an era for one of Finland's oldest dining establishments.
