Tyghuset

Tyghuset, or 'The Arsenal', is a historic building located on Skeppsholmen island in central Stockholm, Sweden. Constructed in 1663, it originally served as a rope walk for the Swedish Navy, reflecting its strategic importance. After a devastating fire and the Navy's relocation, the building underwent several transformations, including use as stables and an arsenal. In 1731, it briefly housed exotic animals for King Frederick I. Today, Tyghuset is home to the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history and architectural evolution.
