Huston–Tillotson University

Huston–Tillotson University is a historically Black university in East Austin formed by the 1952 merger of Samuel Huston College and Tillotson Collegiate and Normal Institute. The campus and its buildings represent a long history of African American higher education in Austin and include structures and grounds tied to that heritage. The institution continues to serve as an educational and cultural landmark in the city. It is an accredited university offering undergraduate and graduate programs.
