John Mellencamp Pavilion

The John Mellencamp Pavilion is the main indoor training facility for the Indiana Hoosiers football team at Indiana University Bloomington. Opened in 1996 thanks to a generous $1.5 million donation from musician John Mellencamp, this impressive 96,129-square-foot facility features a regulation-sized football field with a state-of-the-art artificial surface. It also accommodates various sports such as field hockey, soccer, and baseball. The pavilion includes additional amenities like meeting rooms, offices, and outdoor grass fields for practice. Although not generally open to the public, it has hosted events like banquets and graduation ceremonies, making it a notable landmark for both sports enthusiasts and visitors to the university.
