Chickering Hall (Boston, 1901)

Chickering Hall was an auditorium located in the Back Bay area of Boston, Massachusetts, operational from 1901 to 1912. It was situated next to Horticultural Hall and served as a venue for various performances, including concerts featuring renowned artists like Antoinette Szumowska and Ossip Gabrilowitsch, as well as theatrical productions such as W. B. Yeats' plays. After its tenure as an auditorium, it transformed into the St. James Theatre and later the Uptown Theatre before being demolished in 1963. The hall played a significant role in Boston's cultural scene during its existence.
