Presidential Palace, Somaliland

The Somaliland Presidential Palace, located in Hargeisa, is the official residence and administrative headquarters of the President of Somaliland. Built in 1952 by the British protectorate administration, it was originally intended for Queen Elizabeth II's visit. The palace has a rich history, serving as the residence for British governors and hosting dignitaries on its expansive grounds. After Somaliland's independence, it became a government guesthouse before being destroyed during the 1988 Battle of Hargeisa. Today, it stands as a symbol of Somaliland's governance and has welcomed numerous international delegations.
