Gerlinger Hall

Gerlinger Hall is a historic building located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, part of the Women's Memorial Quadrangle. Constructed between 1919 and 1921, it was named after Irene Hazard Gerlinger, a key figure in its fundraising and the first woman Regent of the university. Designed in the Georgian Revival style by architects Ellis Lawrence and William Holford, the hall features brick construction, gambrel roofs, and a distinctive rectangular plan. Originally intended for women's physical education, it includes classrooms, ballrooms, and a swimming pool. Gerlinger Hall is one of three buildings in the Women's Memorial Quadrangle, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, and remains a significant historical site with well-preserved interiors, reflecting its rich legacy in supporting women's education.
