V. C. Morris Gift Shop (Frank Lloyd Wright)

The V. C. Morris Gift Shop at Maiden Lane was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1948 and is the only building by Wright in San Francisco. Its interior features a circular ramp and a distinctive storefront that architectural historians commonly cite as an early exploration of forms Wright later used in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. The building has been altered for new tenants over time but retains Wright's original street-level façade and ramp concept.
