Carrsbrook

Carrsbrook is a historic home and farm complex located near Charlottesville, Virginia, dating back to around 1785. This five-part Palladian style dwelling features a striking central section with flanking wings and a charming dwarf portico supported by Doric columns. Notably, from 1798 to 1815, it served as the residence and school for Peter Carr, the ward and nephew of Thomas Jefferson. Recognized for its historical significance, Carrsbrook was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
