The Propylaeum

The Propylaeum was constructed in 1890–1891 as a high-style residence incorporating Queen Anne-era architectural elements. It became the meeting place and headquarters for the Propylaeum women's organization and later hosted a variety of cultural and civic activities. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to operate as a cultural and event venue.
