St. Valentine's Day Massacre site

On February 14, 1929, seven members and associates of George “Bugs” Moran’s North Side gang were lined up and shot to death in a garage at this address. The attack marked one of the most notorious gangland murders in Chicago Prohibition-era history. Responsibility is widely attributed to associates of Al Capone, though some details remain debated by historians.
