Denman Arena

Denman Arena was a historic indoor arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, opened in December 1911 and known for its significant role in ice sports, particularly as the home of the Vancouver Millionaires hockey team. With a seating capacity of 10,500, it was the largest arena in Canada at the time and introduced artificial ice to the country. The arena hosted the 1915 Stanley Cup championships, marking the only Cup victory for a Vancouver team. It also served various purposes, including musical performances and public assemblies, and was a gathering point for Canadian servicemen during World War I. Unfortunately, the arena was destroyed by fire in 1936, but its legacy remains a notable part of Vancouver's sports history.
