One Embarcadero Center at 1 Embarcadero Center is part of the Embarcadero Center complex, a multi-building commercial development begun in 1969 that includes several high-rise office towers, hotels, and retail space. The complex's towers reshaped the northeastern waterfront skyline and remain a prominent feature of the Financial District. Embarcadero Center continues to house offices, shops, restaurants, and public pedestrian levels along the Embarcadero.
