Staudinger–Grumke House–Store

The Staudinger–Grumke House–Store, built around 1859 in Augusta, Missouri, is a historic site that showcases the architectural style of a 2+1⁄2-story brick I-house. Originally constructed by August Staudinger, it later became a saloon operated by George Grumke after his purchase in 1873. The property remained in the Grumke family until 1932 and features a store on the ground floor with living quarters above. Notably, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 and is situated within the Walnut Street Historic District, making it a significant attraction for both tourists and researchers interested in local history.
