The Crane Building, also known as C.E. Erickson Co., is a historic six-story manufacturing facility in Des Moines, Iowa, built in 1916. Designed by the architectural firm Sawyer and Watrous, it showcases a utilitarian style influenced by the Chicago School. Recognized for its thoughtful design, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. In 2013, it underwent a significant renovation, transforming into 36 lofts aimed at artisans, with an investment of 8 million dollars, making it a unique blend of history and modern living.
