Faraway Farm

Faraway Farm, also known as the Daniel Ropp House, is a historic home located near Martinsburg, West Virginia. Built around 1865, this two-story, L-shaped brick dwelling features a distinctive five-bay front and a four-bay ell, complete with a charming two-story recessed porch. The entrance is adorned with a one-bay, one-story pedimented portico, showcasing the unique architectural style known as a 'West Virginia Porch.' Recognized for its historical significance, Faraway Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in 19th-century architecture and local history.
