Grace Cathedral (Gothic Revival with Ghiberti Doors and Labyrinths)

Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill is a 20th-century Gothic Revival Episcopal cathedral whose construction began in 1928 and was completed in 1964. The cathedral houses full-scale castings of Lorenzo Ghiberti's 'Gates of Paradise' bronze doors and features both indoor and outdoor labyrinths inspired by the medieval Chartres design. Its stained glass, vaulted nave, and twin towers make it a distinctive example of Gothic-inspired ecclesiastical architecture in San Francisco. The building also hosts notable public art and music programs tied to its architectural spaces.
