Plaza Theatre (historic downtown venue)

The Plaza Theatre is an atmospheric-style movie palace and performing arts venue that originally opened in 1930. It underwent a multi-year restoration and was reopened to the public in 2006 and now serves as El Paso's main venue for touring Broadway shows, concerts, and community events. The theater's ornate interior and marquees are a recognized element of downtown El Paso's cultural life. It is managed by the City of El Paso and used for both professional and local productions.
