This rustic retreat was owned by Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, and his wife Edith, serving as a getaway from the pressures of political life. Purchased in 1905, the cabin is nestled among beautiful trees and natural scenery, making it an ideal escape for the Roosevelts. The simple two-story structure features a spacious front porch and retains its original, unfinished interior without modern amenities. Today, it is maintained by the Edith and Theodore Roosevelt Pine Knot Foundation and is open for visits by appointment, offering a glimpse into the private life of one of America's most notable presidents.
