Foster Hotel

The Foster Hotel, located in Chama, New Mexico, is a historic site built around 1881, originally to accommodate workers from the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. This two-story wood-frame structure has undergone two expansions, with the second stage added in 1927 featuring cement stucco over adobe, and the third stage in 1932 with cement stucco over wood-frame. Notably, it is one of the first commercial buildings in Chama and the only one to survive multiple fires in the area. The hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
