Austin Central Library - rooftop garden and community hub

Austin Central Library, the Austin Public Library’s flagship at 710 W Cesar Chavez St, opened to the public in 2017 as a multi-level civic and cultural center. The building includes a publicly accessible rooftop garden, meeting spaces, makerspaces, and an extensive local history and genealogy collection. The library was designed with sustainability features and serves as a major community resource for downtown Austin.
