Landmark Center (Boston)

The Landmark Center, also known as the 401 Park Building, is a historic commercial center in Boston, Massachusetts, originally built in 1928 for Sears, Roebuck and Company. This striking art deco structure features a 200-foot tower and is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Located at the intersection of Park Drive and Brookline Avenue, it serves as a gateway to the Emerald Necklace park system designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. After a period of vacancy, the building was transformed into a vibrant space housing retail stores, a movie theater, a sports complex, and office spaces, particularly for medical-related tenants. The ground floor features the Time Out Market food hall and a taproom by Trillium Brewing Company. The Landmark Center is not only a significant architectural landmark but also a hub for community and commerce, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
