Lincoln American Tower

The Lincoln American Tower, a historic 22-story skyscraper in Memphis, Tennessee, is a notable landmark and one of the city's first steel frame buildings. Originally built in 1924 for the Columbian Mutual Insurance Company, it features a striking Gothic revival design with a white terra cotta exterior and decorative bas-reliefs. The tower has a rich history, including its proximity to the Irving Block Prison used during the Civil War and its association with controversial figure Lloyd Binford.
