5–7 Sandy Bay Road is a historic modernist building in Hobart, Tasmania, constructed between 1959 and 1960 as the first dedicated ABC-TV studios in the region. Notable for its architectural design by Dr. Oscar A. T. Gimesy and a stunning mosaic mural by Tasmanian artist George Davis, the mural is the largest of its kind in Tasmania, featuring over 150,000 glass tiles and stylized figures reminiscent of Greek Muses. The building has served various purposes, including as the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music, before being sold for redevelopment into residential apartments, with plans to preserve the iconic mural.
