Griffith Breese Farm

The Griffith Breese Farm, established in 1840, is a historic farmstead located in southern Allen County, Ohio. It represents one of the earliest white settlements in a region previously inhabited by Native Americans. The farm is notable for its exceptional preservation and includes four Federal-style buildings spread over 65 acres. Griffith Breese, a Welsh immigrant, settled here after purchasing land that was once part of the Hog Creek Indian Reservation. The site offers a glimpse into early American pioneer life and has been recognized as a historic site, being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
