Clover Mount

Clover Mount, also known as Tate House and Stone House Farm, is a historic home located near Greenville in Augusta County, Virginia. This late-18th century house features a unique two-story, five-bay design made of cut limestone, built in two stages and completed before 1803. The original structure includes a two-room hall-parlor plan, while a single-cell, double-pile addition enhances its historical significance. A two-story stuccoed ell was added around 1900, and the property also boasts a contributing frame bank barn showcasing heavy mortise-and-tenon construction. Clover Mount was recognized for its historical importance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture.
