James Clark McGrew House

The James Clark McGrew House, also known as the Gibson Property, is a historic home located in Kingwood, Preston County, West Virginia. This architectural gem features a large two-story main block and a low two-story ell, with the oldest section dating back to 1841. The main block was constructed around 1870. The property also includes a two-story barn/outbuilding and a Gothic Revival barn/carriage house, all connected by a breezeway. Built by James McGrew, a key figure in West Virginia's history, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in the region's heritage.
