Barbour House is an early 20th-century mansion located in Fairfax, Virginia, named after its notable owner, John Strode Barbour, a prominent newspaper editor and statesman. Once the hub of social life in Fairfax, the house faced demolition after the death of Barbour's widow but was saved by the McCandlish and Lillard law firm, which relocated it to its current site on Chain Bridge Road. This historic mansion offers a glimpse into the rich social and political history of the area.
