Denver International Airport stormwater management

Denver International Airport operates a stormwater management program that includes detention basins and best-management practices to control runoff from runways, taxiways, and terminal areas. The airport maintains stormwater pollution prevention plans and conducts monitoring for industrial stormwater discharges under state and federal regulations. DIA is owned by the City and County of Denver and its stormwater facilities are managed by the airport authority at the main airport campus.
