Hawke Castle is a historic residence located in Modesto, California, built in the Norman style in 1929. Originally occupied by Edward Hawke, the manager of the local J. C. Penney store, the castle has changed hands several times, including notable owners like engineer Al Goldschmidt and Dr. Burnett Tonge. With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, it features a fully designed living area in both the basement and attic. In 2018, it was recognized as one of the top seven attractions to visit in Modesto during MADWEEK, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in local history.
