Hotel Chelsea legends

The Hotel Chelsea, built 1883–1885, is located at 222 West 23rd Street. It housed numerous artists, writers, and musicians; Welsh poet Dylan Thomas died at the hotel in 1953, a documented event often cited in its lore.
