York-Gordon House

The York-Gordon House, also known as the Patrick and Mary Gordon house, is a historic site in New Bern, North Carolina, built in 1771. This charming 1+1⁄2-story dwelling showcases Georgian architectural elements and features a distinctive gambrel roof. Originally thought to be older, the house replaced an earlier structure that was likely destroyed in a storm. Notable for its shiplap siding and a full-width porch added in 1786, the house reflects the region's rich history and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it a significant attraction for tourists and researchers alike.
