Charles Manning Reed Mansion

The Charles Manning Reed Mansion, also known as the Erie Club, is a historic brick mansion and clubhouse located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Built between 1846 and 1849, this impressive structure showcases Greek Revival architecture with its pedimented portico and Ionic columns. The mansion has undergone several expansions, including a recreation hall added in the early 20th century. It was constructed by a descendant of Erie’s first permanent settler and has been a part of the Erie Club since 1904. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is situated within the West Sixth Street Historic District, making it a noteworthy stop for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
